New app version (available now)

We might have been quiet for the past couple of months, but we weren't taking a break! That's why we're excited to be announcing our latest updates for all supported platforms. The biggest change and the easiest to spot is the new Alerts tab: We have created a new screen, right before your actual alerts list, to present you with an activity report based on everything that was blocked by the Web Filter. Here's a preview of what it looks like:

Here's what's included in this report:

New menu bar icon on macOS

For the macOS version, a new icon was added to the menu bar (also sometimes called status bar, it is located at the upper-right corner, right next to the clock) that allows you to quickly enable or disable the VPN connection. Also, this is where the activity report is located on the macOS version.

New Free Trial option

For mobile users (iOS and Android) we are introducing a new, shorter, no commitment, free trial option. We know AppStore and Google Play both have a very unique, unintuitive approach to Free Trial that many users don't understand and/or aren't comfortable with: To begin any Free Trial subscription, users must first commit to an existing subscription plan (Monthly or Annual, in our case) and then, whenever the free trial period is over, they are automatically charged for the next period, unless a cancellation is made. Because this is far from an ideal free trial, in which the user can try the product and decide whether they want to buy it or not later, we have created a new 3-days free trial option that is not tied to any subscription plan and does not need to be cancelled. At the end of the third day, users will be able to choose which subscription plan they want, and only if they want it.

30-days Free Trial still available

In any case, using the new free trial option or not, users will still be granted the usual 30 days Free Trial period when they choose a subscription plan, this remains unchanged. All in all, new users get 33 days to decide if they really want to become a subscriber.
