New app version

Our latest app update (v1.3.1) was submitted to Apple earlier today and should be available to download shortly. This version was compiled with the latest XCode and only required a few modifications to the UI to support Dark Mode, one of the new features in iOS 13. Take a look at how cool the app is in the new mode:

Last week we also released version 1.3 update with a couple of new features and a few bug fixes. Check the complete release notes for both versions below:

And since we're talking about updates, the latest version of our Web Filter was released last friday and includes 91 new trackers. As usual, you can check the complete change log directly from the app.

Mac version

Apple should be releasing MacOS Catalina soon, but unfortunately it looks like they will not be unifying purchases between iOS and Mac so soon, which is what we were hoping for. This new operating system from Apple will introduce Project Catalyst which makes it easier for developers to bring an iPad/iOS app to the Mac. However, at least for this first version, they will not share the same licenses. This means that, by default, users will be required to purchase the Mac version of the app even if they already have it for iOS. This is not the experience we were expecting for Spod VPN & Web Filter, so we're looking into alternatives to allow users to get the Mac version without any additional costs for those that already have a subscription in iOS (and vice-versa).
